My soon to be husband is from the UK and he has his AVCE in business and we were wondering how this would transfer to the USA. What would the equivalent be in the United States? Is there anything we can do to help with the people in the United States knowing what this is? Thanks for any help .

I don't know what it is, but you can apply to a credentials evaluation service in the US to translate qualifications. I used www.trustfortecorp.com and found them good and fast.

Is the AVCE an academic qualification or is it a professional qualification?

If it's the latter, the US professional organization/association for the industry/field may be able to advise on if the AVCE is recognized in the US or if it's possible to convert into an American equivalent.

Bear in mind, there are many companies that provide services converting non-US degrees (and other academic qualifications) to US GPAs but these services are not regulated by the US government so the resulting GPA may cause dissatisfaction.

WES is the big one, but as mentioned, anyone can set up shop, so no point in doing it unless asked to as companies probably will have a specific company in mind to do the translation.

Probably not that many people in the UK who would know what it was.
