Printing your own UK newspaper daily on your printer
So I was poking around the Internet the other day with an idea. Wouldn't it be cool (though ridiculously expensive) if you could print your own newspaper everyday and read it "like a paper" at home. I guess I'm old but I just like the layout of a paper--I tend to read more stories, look at ads, etc rather than the 'hunt and peck' of reading a story online or via my iPad.
I found that 'tabloid sized' printers are now relatively inexpensive. Anyone know where I can get a digital copy of the paper edition? Anyone tried something similar?
(and yes, I know it's going to cost a fortune in ink and kill a forest, but was kind of just curious for now to see if it can be done).

I work in a library and we subscribe to a product called PressDisplay. They have different subscription models for libraries, corporations, cruise ships etc. They have (apparently) 1,900 different newspapers.. what is unique about their model (as opposed to Lexis-Nexis, EBSCOhost etc.) is that the onscreen display actually emulates the print newspaper instead of just being separate articles. Not sure if they have subscriptions for individuals rather than institutions. Apparently they have a print-on-demand facility.

One of the most interesting sites you will have seen. Just put your mouse on a city anywhere in the world and the newspaper headlines pop up... Double click and the page gets larger.... I thought you all would like to know about this site, if you don't already. I also found you can read the entire paper on some if you click on the right place. You can spend forever here.

Looks like you can subscribe yourself and print. They also have a locator on the website to find the nearest place you can get a hard copy.
