Re: Price of gas update...
Trade war brewing in Canada over oil.
Alberta vs BC.
Could get ugly this summer.
Gas is already near all time highs and its only April.
$5.82 per US Gallon for regular.
$6.84 for premium which is what my scooter needs but its only got a 2 gal tank.
Some say possibility of 7.60 US gal by summer.
All prices in CAD$.

Re: Price of gas update...
Nearly six years after moving to the US, the fluctuation in gas prices is one of the most frustrating things. It's not unusual for it to be something like $2.40 one day, and $2.80 the next and then it gradually comes down over a period of a couple of weeks. It makes a $10 difference in filling my tank.
Anyway. In Eaton Rapids, MI at the moment, it's around the $2.50 mark.

$2.659 here. The fluctuating prices I've noticed over the last few years appear to have been replaced by steadily increasing numbers.
I did have a moment thinking they were dropping last week when I passed a usually cheap station at $2.599, but it must have been a momentary glitch on their part as it was back up the next day.
I reckon we'll be stumping up nearly 3 bucks a gallon by the end of the summer, which is just what a fellow needs with a gas guzzler that doesn't return 16mpg.

Re: Price of gas update...
Around $3.60 for regular in the Bay Area (Peninsula at least), with $3.99 for a gallon of regular being the most expensive I have seen in the past few days. Won't be long before it's topping $4 across the board here I suspect.
What I've noticed is strange is that I pay more attention to the price at the pump here than I ever did in the UK, even though the overall cost is still much lower here.

Re: Price of gas update...
You might think so with the generally more "gas guzzling" nature of cars here, but actually I get *better* fuel economy on my Golf GTI here than I did on my Mondeo Estate (Diesel) in the UK. It does have a smaller tank, but by and large the frequency of fill ups is broadly similar.
I wonder if it's because it's a per *gallon* price, so the increases tend to be more of a jump than they would be if the prices were quoted in litres (which would be roughly a quarter of the increase in absolute dollars-and-cents terms), and as such more noticeable ("Wow, gas is up 25c!", as opposed to "Oh, petrol's up 5p").
