The UN did say it has to be used by the end of the century.

Noticed 2.50 at HEB on the way out this morning. By this afternoon it was 2.44

Bananas still at 49cents/lb though.....its always the oil companies getting criticized for not bringing the pump price down when crude falls, but the talking heads have been going on about a cheaper shopping basket for a while now, but not seeing it here.....

Seems to be anywhere from 2.85 to 3.90 in San Diego depending where you are from what I have seen. Huge differences in price between area's.

I just don't agree with that sentiment here in the US. I never saw such huge falls in the price of petrol until I moved to the US. The UK price hardly moves when crude falls. The same I really don't think can be said of the US (at least in MA).

The largest part of the price in the UK is tax, so a drop in the price of crude barely affects the overall price.

Plus the fall against the dollar has mitigated the drop also.

There is still a massive range of prices at the petrol stations along the road I take into work.

Starting at the cheapest end (by work) it goes from $2.89, up to $2.99 a mile farther west, then finally it's still $3.29 in the one station just outside of my town. Then when you go past that my house and into the town centre, it's down to the $2.93/$2.97 range again.

Quite a variation.

But it has hit the Eurozone much harder, and Japan and Russia harder still where their currencies have dropped like a rock in recent months.
