Default PLEASE CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND GOOD WEBSITES FOR VACATION RENTALS IN FLORIDA

We are moving over from Scotland to Florida in Spetember, and are looking to rent a property in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area of Florida for approximately 2 months before we buy something outright.

If anyone knows of any good/reliable websites where we can view and book suitable properties then any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only website I've really found until now is Vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner)

We don't want to spend a fortune on a place, as all we are really looking for is a base to stay at whilst we look for a house and jobs.
Any property has to be furnished though.

Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can offer.

You could try http://www.rentals.com/Florida/

In case you didn't know, most places that aren't vacation rentals are generally rented on a 7 month contract, so for a 2 month period, you may be pushed towards renting a vacation rental, especially if you want furnished. There's a lot of vacant places down at Cape Coral though, it was the foreclosure capital of Florida for awhile, so you may get lucky and negotiate a month to month rental.
Best of luck with it.

Edit : Try Suburban Lodge http://www.suburbanhotels.com/?chain...sul&pmf=google If you go the hotel route. The rooms are bigger and you'll generally have a kitchen and dining area separate.

Apartments are often 7 months Ray.
Getting furnished might be difficult though.

Thanks for your responses Ray, and Paranoidandroid.

Will have a look at the websites suggested.
We did see an extendedstay type hotel for around $900 for the month, and have also found a couple of furnished apartments on VRBO for just over $1000 a month, on a month to month basis.
There's not many to choose from though in that price range but hopefully it'll only be a short term rental.
And as far as the foreclosure capital of Florida.......well, thats exactly why we're going there
