please advise - unique situation
Hi there,
I am a British citizen on an L1 (I am currently working with a US company) and I want to change jobs and work for a Canadian company. I would be based in the US, but the Canadian company does not have an official office in the US ( I don't think they have incorporated in the US and are not planning on it). I really want to work for this company but don't know what to do. Do you know what my options are?
Best Regards,
Clark

Appears that the case has to be made to INS that you will be employed by the Canadian
representation in the US. Which looks like that is the case since you will be here on
their payroll. It's impossible to say how good your case is without knowing how many
business details this company can produce to INS I work for in Irish company which
has a branch in the US and they dov isas for employees based int he US, the company
does not need to be US company, but needs to be based here as well
