Default Packet 3 Help - OF-156K

Hi all,

I'm having real worries with my packet 3, especially Form OF156-K...it says I have to attach my birth certificate, police certificate and affidavit of support. I wondered if anyone knows if I do actually send these now or if i take these to my interview with me?

I hope you can help me.

Thanks,

D.

Take them to the interview, do not send them in the post, they ask for them at the embassy

Hi D,

On your check list it should tell you to submit the forms but NOT the supporting
documents. Take them with you on interview day (make copies so they can keep the
copies and return the original to you after seeing it)

If I worked as much as others, I would do as little as they.

I didn't send birth certificate , OF-156 K etc to US Embassy in Indonesia. I just
returned the checklist which stated that I had in my possesion all the documents
needed and biographic form (OF 230 I ). I just filled OF-156 K and not signed it,
because I had to sign it before the consular officer after she asked me to swear.
They asked all the documents before they interviewed me. I handed them birth
certificate, police record, affidavit support , tax returns and others. They asked the
original of all and then returned the original birth certificate to me. They took the
original affidavit support and tax returns.

Thank you all so much for your advice. It's great to know that there are people out there who are happy to share their experiences for the benefits of those like me :-)
