I have had an offer of a flat over there, so hopefully if that doesn't fall through and nothing goes wrong, I should be going home early September, the day before my daughter's 6th birthday. I would give anything for that to happen, I haven't seen her or my son since last October :D
It is a really big daydream of mine just lately, to walk up to the front door on her birthday and surprise her. She keeps asking me to come home, which breaks my heart every time.

$900 thats over the top where to when!!

I just had a look at Orbitz, it does seem much cheaper than the sites I normally use. I'll save it for future use. Thanks!

Expedia normally comes in cheaper then Orbitz but I think its hit or miss.

Still better to find the flight with a company like Orbitz/Expedia see who the Airline is and then go to the site and book direct with them 9 times out of 10 its cheaper.

Well it's around $850 right now, but give or take a bit, it will be around $900. That's September 2nd - September 21st (return for cheapness) That's a non stop flight with bmi, whose flights are operated by US Airways which is cool because it would be a non stop flight.

I had to cancel my trip to the UK this week due to work commitments but I found a flight with Air Canada via Toronto 16th Sept rtn with tax's $888.

Bmi is never cheap believe me.

For a 1 way try these guys www.1800flyeurope.com but call them as the price's can be cheaper then the site.

It depends on how busy the route is...how much competition there is.

There is that, but in general it should be cheaper its about $300 more now that I live on the west coast compared to when I lived in the midwest which is a lot of difference..

Try vayama.com. i got my husband a o/w ticket for august for $450 (incl. taxes and fees) from newark to london. it's with sas through copenhagen. i was a bit concerned because it was much cheaper than other sites, but we got the ticket and checked with united (it's operated by sas) and he's on the flight.

Actually, JFK was way cheaper. I don't know why. But as I'm a Jerseygirl too (), Newark is the only one for us, with Philly coming in a close second (that IS a pricey airport for itnernational flights)
