Make it down to Cincinnati and I'll buy you a beer. We live just across the river in Newport, KY, home of the only licensed (somewhat genuine) Hofbrauhaus in America.

We used to live just the other side of the highway from Springboro in Franklin Township. It was all a little - actually a LOT - bit 'non-city' for my personal liking so we moved, but if you need any friendly advice don't hesitate to get in touch.

Anyone else in Ohio? Anything I should be aware of when I get over?

Cheers

Go over to West Virginia and do some white water rafting... New River or Gauley River, both fantastic...

Have you been there before ? I lived there for 18 months, lets just say "was glad to move to another State".

Hello.
I've been to Columbus and I liked it. We take our dog there, to the Ohio State veterinary hospital once a year for a heart scan. We leave him there and have a wander round so we don't know it well.
Good shopping malls and a great indoor swimming place, which I have found to be rare here (SW.PA).
My OH has a friend who lives there, also originally from the UK, and he loves it.

I had the best six months of my life when living in Dayton OH, which took me as much by surprise as anyone else. Not sure how I'd have felt about the place if I'd had to do a whole winter there though.
