We love Alpharetta, good schools, very family friendly, lots of swim/tennis subdivisions the kids will love & are great for making friends. About an hour up 400 to Moutains/Amacolola Falls, 30 mins into Atlanta (very much dependent on traffic).

I live in the Historic Roswell area have done for past two years, reasonable price homes, great quality public schools at high, middle and elementary levels, close to GA400 and the north springs MARTA for downtown or to the airport if you dont want the drive - Historic Roswell has great bars and restaurants none of which are chains. Can highly recomend this area.
