Default Mince Pies

Has anyone seen mince pies in any of the big supermarkets or national chains?

I have a party coming up on Sunday, and of course I left it to the last minute!

I think Trader Joes has them. Of course there is always Amazon!

I'm in PA so too far away to help in person. I think the best way is to make your own. This is my pastry recipe The Christmas Thread

Just add in a decent mincemeat - UK if possible. One batch of pastry should do you about 30 mince pies, if you have cutters and mince pie tins to hand. A whoopie pie tin would probably do as a substitute, but the pies may be a bit bigger, so fewer of them.

My count so far this year is 269 mince pies, but they don't all get eaten at home!

Funny you should ask, because yesterday while doing my supermarket barcode scanning job at Save Mart I scanned in a mince pie sitting in the freezer, which surprised me as I didn't think mince pies were a thing here. The pie has probably been sitting in the back room freezer for years, and gets wheeled out front every December.
Probably not much use in FL, I think Save Mart operate mostly in CA.

That seems to be an apple pie with "Mince Pie" written on it so that Americans won't buy it. Maybe it's a secret patriotism test?

After reading on here we tried out our local World Market for the first time, picked up 2 boxes of minced pies and the very last Christmas cake, score! Also some U.K. sweets and stuff. Nice store actually, we will be back for sure. Good place to get some European biscuits too, I like Biscuits.

anyway Christmas Day is now sorted, thanks!
