Metal Detectors at Schools
Why don't schools have walkthrough metal detectors. It would stop the chavs bringing guns to school. I arrived 4 weeks ago in Louisiana, and after hearing about Jena and school shootings, im nervous, maybe i made a mistake coming here

If the question is "why?", the answer is usually "money". A lot of school districts are severely short of money. Money to buy detectors, buy service contracts for detectors, pay the salaries of the operators, etc. I can tell you that Cleveland certainly doesn't have that kind of money readily available.

costs a lot of money...some places it ain't an issue...in some schools your allowed guns....well up in maine where MIL teaches, as long as they are locked up in lockers and are long arms...but might have changed to only locked up in your cars these days as there was a riot when they tried to ban guns...because of the hunting, not enough time to go home after morning hunt etc.

It's a huge expense for little return (or even counterproductive) in most schools.

What, Chavs? .... yeah, I guess you're right... but they don't know what a school is though.
Keep an eye out for this in the school parking lot...
