Interesting that you should mention Boris. I do have a recording, and some of it I find extremely powerful, but it's a difficult opera to get to grips with without actually seeing it. My favourite singer (Don Giovanni himself
) starred in the title role in a movie of this opera, but I've never actually seen it. I think I'll listen to it tonight - thanks for reminding me!
