There are still quite a few open. Where do you live?

Ha ha. As soon as I'd posted about fresh & easy's British roots I thought I should go back and edit it to reflect that tesco sold it but then I thought. Who's going to be enough of a nit picker to pick up on that. Should've known better. You can still get British products there.

SF... there's still one open in the city but it's location is too far away to make it a viable option to go grocery shopping.

When Tesco started it, plans were for a whole string of stores in SF, but they never got past 2.

I would challenge you to distinguish between two bananas, peppers, onions, potatoes, or many other fruits and vegetables, one bought from your local Pricy Mart and one from Walmart. There is no difference for most products, none at all. Your local Pricy Mart might have a wider range of organic produce.

I suspect you mean that some Walmart customers are disgusting, and I won't argue with you on that point!

I go there for my Heinz baked baked beans and clotted cream (when I need to make scones for pot lucks).

British/British owned v not British/ not British owned is not nit-picking.
