I have a few "Brics" bags which have lasted well.

Get a bag that isn't black or dark blue/green. Mine is bright green. Makes it so much easier to spot on the luggage thingy. And who the hell would want to steal it? Had to laugh at the matching Burberry set I saw one family had - they were Turkish though, rather than English chavs.
