Couldn't see if this had been posted before, if it has - sorry. Anyway I bought a copy of this book for some of my American friends and this book is bloody funny and may go some way to bridging the language gap between us and our American pals.

Both of you keep your station .....don't try to exceed it ..
A hard bit with London slang is the fact it keep getting shortened
e.g So if I say to you can I use your dog .....
It originated as dog and bone = phone
