What do you mean that your U.S. degree won't hold up in the U.K.??
I graduated a couple of years ago here in the U.S. with a double B.S. in Computer/Management Information Systems and Management.
I am planning to move back to the UK next year and from what I have found out on the American expats web site the U.S. degrees are accepted in the UK.
I'm confused, please tell me what you know

A+ and Network+ on their own won't do much for you. It also depends how good you are with hardware and networks. If you know your stuff inside out, then just buy a study guide for $50 and you'll be ok. But if you don't, then prepare for many months of hard work.

Incidentally those exams are CompTIA exams, so the community college has no say over who takes them. If they are a test centre, they will test you. There is also no coursework involved in them. Unless you mean you wanted to enroll in a course they offered specifically for those exams, in which case good luck.
