Red face If you had to write a Sociology paper....

(which I do)

Please, please, please can I have some help.... this is my last paper for this school year.

I thought writing a paper on Expats would be really fun and now I'm just stuck.
  • What was the biggest personality difference you noticed between us and them?
  • How does your town differ from the one you lived in back home?
  • Did you have problems and ever think you should have never come?
  • Culture shock?
  • Laws and stuff that made you wonder?
  • Do you know other Brits in your area?
  • Are you here to stay?

And the rest (yeah I know we've been all over this)

If you have a story you wouldn't mind me using please e-mail it to me E-mail Brigie ~ Click here.

Full credit and refference citations will be given.

I need an A.... Ummmmm not sure if paper I just handed in on Islam is going to cut it.

I have untill Thursday :scared:

Brigie,

Are you doing an academic course (one that gets credits)? Shouldn't you be pulling info from journals and the like?

I'm just saying this 'cos I did a module of sociology in my first year of my degree (in the UK). Perhaps standards are different in the US (or in your institution).

Why would I be doing this if it wasn't for credits?

Sociology papers are interpretive and not praised on pulling a bunch of facts or one persons opinion.

The areas of the sociological perspective that I am studying towards my masters

My research methods (seeing as you seem to be so interested are.)

Sociolological Theory
*The Structural Functional Paradigm.
*The Social Conflict paradigm
and *The Symbolic-Interaction Paradigm.

Research method
*Testing a hypothesis.
* Survey (this is what I'm aplying here)
and 'in field' participation Observation.

Components of Culture
Symbols, Language, values and Beliefs, Norms, Ideal and real culture.

Conclusive Sociobiology Theory.

I doubt your standards were higher!

Not all courses offer credits. I have no idea what you're studying and where...

The criteria you describe are somewhat close the style of research I used on my degree except I majored in a different social science and I had to do use qualitative and quantitive research methods.

I wish you luck!
