Jesus christ, just go to the airport and they're bound to put you on a plane. A few years ago I missed a flight from Boston to London.

I was in Vermont and needed to drive about 5 hours to the airport. Huge winter storms were occurring before I left and all flights were reported as cancelled, so I didn't do the 5-hr drive to the airport and went to bed. Turned out in those 5-hours the storm had cleared in Boston, and my flight left without me.

I called the airline but they couldn't guarantee anything. They said just to go to the airport and explain.

I just showed up, smiled nicely, was told they COULD charge me a fee for changing the ticket but saw I was genuinely disturbed about missing the flight. Didn't charge me anything and just put me on the next flight home.

I was landing at Gatwick the next morning.

It's not that bloody difficult.

Right i just got back from the airport and i was told by the Immigration officer there that there was nothing they can or were willing to do for me, and i was told by BA that as i had missed the flight even tho it was due to a accident they were not going to let me use the ticket i had booked.

I have done everything i that was suggested, and still nothing, if you think i am bullshitting then dont reply all i wanted was advice nothing more.

I was told to commit a crime and that wait i can be deported but i dont think i will do that

So you spoke about it too her? odd. Just go with a no win no fee type arangement, what have you got to loose? She's not going to shoot you, if she threatens you (if you're being serious) then contact the police, tell the local police of your situation also....

They day is young, get calling people, have you spoke to the consulate again?

If not, call them again it's an emergency....

I used to work in media - I have contacts at the YEP, YP, T&A and also at YTV - if you want me to ask them to get in touch with you then let me know, but theres no way I'm pulling in favours from people without evidence. They are all really busy.

Also Sambapink has offered to get in touch with the GMTV LA producer for you, and EnglishinFL has also offered to use her contacts to get you some publicity.

i contacted the yep, the sun, the mirror, the mail, 8 radio stations here in grand rapids the local press and tv stations.
