Default I-134 Affidavit of Support Q.8

Morning all :-)

I'm sorry to ask yet another question on this form...but here I go.
On Question 8, should my fiance put me as being dependent on him for support, or is it only people in America he should put? He has no children, previous wife etc, so should he leave it at none, or put my name, as I will be dependent on him when I go there and am waiting to work (and have spent all my UK life savings!).

Thanks for any help,

Peace.

D.

I'm not an expert, I'm in the process of filing myself but I believe that the Question is in regards to his current situation in the US, i.e. children, previous wife, elderly parents, etc. The affidavit itself is with the understanding that he will support you when you arrive. That's why they need it, to make sure that he has enough income and assets to support you. Hope this helps. Good luck with the process

Thank you K. This is what we thought, but I'm just checking every little thing at this stage, as I'm hoping to be in the US for Christmas...cutting it fine, I know. All the best to you too.

Peace,

D.
