Hi Guys,
I mailed my forms off to the US Embassy in London last Monday- does anyone know how long it takes for them to contact one with an interview date? Or how long a wait I can expect before that interview? Do they have a website where I can check on my case status?

Is this for a K1 visa? It took them around 10 days to give me an interview date, but I have had to wait just over a month for my interview. I have seen interviews handed out in a shorter time though. Fortunately, my wait is almost over.

Hi,

London embassy are pretty good about answering emails. If the forms you sent were packet 3 it usually takes them 3 weeks to get them on computer. Give it a little while then send them a mail - it'll help if you mention your NOA2 receipt number. I mailed them and asked for an early interview date as we'd put the wedding forward and they responded very quickly with an interview date. Best of luck.

I e mailed the US Embassy in London on the 14th May which was 3 days after they received my packet 3. (I tracked the mail by sending it special delivery). They replied within 24 hours with an interview date of June 3rd.... and yes, I got my visa! Be sure to give them your case number in the e mail.
