IMO you should just do it and not think about it too much. You can convince yourself that it's going to be difficult if you are not careful.

I go backwards and forwards between right and left hand drive quite frequently and I don't I have problems once on the move. Like others have said, its more walking to wrong side to get in, and going for seatbelts and handbrakes with the wrong hands. I find myself as a passenger giving directions incorrectly when approaching roundabouts too.
