Hi

Im thinking of takign a hot tub back from the US to the UK and would appreciate any advice or help...

I would get the biggest outboard motor I could find. The Atlantic can be rough.

Actually to the OP...why go to the bother or taking one from the US to the UK...we do actually have them in the UK as strange as it may seem...

no.. Im shipping a container back.. . or rather my employer is

what exactly is the power problem... a lof othe tubs come with 110 / 220 power supplies

then haven't you answered your own question?

If your employer is shipping it, you've looked into the power problem... then is there another area you're not sure of ?

well.. the power area seems to be a bit of a mystery.. something to do with the hertz rate?

It's not the power thats the problem...it's the water. You see we have larger gallons than the US and so not all the water will fit in leaving a load to slosh over the sides.

The US expats in the UK has some good information on the electrical differences and on any plumbing differences (huge debate over UK toilets). The size and threading of the pipes might be an issue (I'm not sure).
