Help with Health Insurance
My wife (British) and Myself (American) are planning to retire back to the States.(Oklahoma)
She is very concerned about Health Insurance for herself, we both have pre existing conditions. I will be OK with Medicare
Can anyone please help with this transition as we are really worried about this. How have others solved this problem in their own circumstances?
Thank you this is the first time I have attempted to use a forumn..

I'm afraid I'm totally clueless when it comes to health insurance, though I am sure you will get plenty of answers from those more knowledgeable than myself. Just wanted to say welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forums
I can't help really, but know that the question has been asked a few times, so perhaps might find some advice doing a search...but chances are...it'll cost, cost a lot.

Seem to remember reading some ditty in the marriage forum whereby some non-USC inherited the Medicare off their USC spouse after arriving. And jolly chuffed they were, too! If you can't find it Mr. MD Young is your man for all things of this ilk -- you'll find him posting in BFT Part Deux.

Yep: it's @ http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307555 for the OP.
I certainly intend to retire somewhere more civilised, too.

I think American Hedgehog has every right to be concerned. I could not have dreamed of living here without medical cover.
The point is even if they get cover, the premiums will rise each year as they get older and not necessarily by a set amount.
