Wow! You wouldn't want to be 4th tier from the Phillipines, would you?

Another thing to think about, you have no US credit history, so you'll probably be raped when it comes to interest rates for any kind of loan...

There's no such thing as a "bad opinion" or a "good opinion" -- they're just opinions. No right or wrong, good or bad. I say to-MAY-toh, you say to-MAH-toh... different strokes and all that.

You asked for opinions and have gotten them... A LOT of them. Just because you aren't happy with what those opinions are doesn't mean they're BAD, it just means you're not open to receiving them.

Aye, being over 21 doesn't help, and that takes care of him, but not really his family...be retiring before they can all come over and snag a greencard...
No degree and specialist skills kind of also rules out the H/L routes, really only leaving the dodgy E...

Couldn't his parents help with the mortgage, they could take it out in their name he pays the bill and I think it's anytime after 6 months the mortgage can be transferred to his name. Give him time to build his credit up. My friend got a mortgage this way her father was 82 at the time and got a 30 year mortgage, unfortunatley he died before he could sign it over to her,and she had to waite over a year before it was sorted. Just a suggestion

the E2 route is only dodgy if you go into it with blinkers on

Thanks for the ideas. This is what I am looking for. Constructive critisism. I am looking for help to aide me in getting into Florida, not reasons why I shouldn't.

You are right I have made my mind up already and but I am not naive to the fact that it will be difficult. But is'nt this part of learning and growing. I am sure we all go through it. I know when I first left home and got my own place it was terrible but I got there in the end. It takes time, patience and perserverance.

As fatbrit says. All of this discussion is beside the point until he can find a way to move here. It didn't sound like he had enough cash to go the E route.

Arrrghhhhhh!!!!! I haven't commented yet because it was obvious from the start there is absolutely no way you will be able to come over; but now you're filling the site's discussion database with crap.

Constructive criticism? someone's already posted a description of your way of thinking, if it seems harsh it's because someone posts this question once a week after holidaying in Florida (why is it always Florida?) 99% of them have no chance of moving here. I know it's harsh, and the opinions of some people here are equally harsh but that's because practically everyone here has been there, done it and bought the t-shirt.

So... listen up...lets see what your options are for actually getting a visa.....erm.....er....... oh none.

I did, that was how I met my wife, but I know loads.

There was a poll here about wh would return, I like it here, there are some things I do not. Likewise UK.

Sun and 70+ helps, but there was a foot of snow last Sunday.

That's true, but it is crap if you have kids near the teens, and also if you wanted to retire...
