Arlington...sorry other end of the state, you're like a 240 mile drive (albeit quite a scenic drive down the valley if you avoid the interstates). I spent a weekend touring the area around Warm Springs last year, Covington was a hole, but Lexington a very nice, quaint, walkable small town.
The Guardian sent a reporter down to Roanoke last year for the election campaign. Whaddaya think, accurate?
