Hey I am going to be spenting the summer in LA and having been before know how essential it is to have access to a car on a daily basis I was wondering if anyone had any info regarding some sort of long term car rental or lease for 4 months at a reasonable price?

I live in LA. There are people who do just fine without a car. It depends on where you will be staying and where you want to go. Public transit is a lot better than it used to be -- but it depends upon the specifics of your lifestyle. Do you ride a bicycle? It won't rain -- but there will be some days of unbearable heat [not all that many].

If you decide to rent a car -- check with Enterprise -- they tend to have the best rates. Fox at LAX can also be reasonable.
