As the subject explains, I would like to know if it is possible to change status from H-1B to F-1 after I finish my full term of H-1B (6 years) in the US.
A lot of people have been giving me varied answers to my question.
College/University international advisors say that it is possible while others tell that it is not. I am utterly confused and desperate to seek a genuine, factual advice as I do not have much time left on my H-1B and do not want to be out of status.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY ANSWER ASAP.
All help in this regard is thanked for and appreciated .

Who are these people who are telling you that it is not possible? Are they
professionals of any kind?

I suggest that you identify a reputable immigration attorney, with a lot of
experience with the academic area. A good place to get a referral would be the
international office of a university. Sit down and talk with the attorney, and find
out what your chances are. The chances will be expressed as 60%, 80%, 95%, etc. Then
you will have a much better basis on which to make a decision.

I am utterly confused and
