There are things that get on my nerves about living in America or Britain, there are pro's and cons for both, but she is just out and out slagging Britain off isn't she?
Since when is American customer service that great anyway? I've found it to be just as bad as British C/S. As for the climate well I would have thought the drizzle would be just how Gwynnie likes it, she's hardly going to want to tan that pasty white skin of hers anyway is she?

I've never been able to stand the skinny cow anyway, what a barrel of laughs she must be with her lovely macrobiotic diet and bloody kabbalah cult.

She is right. It rains a lot, its dirty, something I notice more and more each time I go back and thank god for the more laid back approach to customer service in the right place but its crap if you are on the phone and you need an answer yesterday.

As for going back home, then by rights most of this forum needs to do that, given the amount things we complain about.

Thats a different issue entirely. People here are doing the British thing, with other Brits. They (hopefully) don't spend their time whining about what a sh*t country the US is to anyone who'll listen. It's supposed to be fun here, not a representation of how we are in real life.

Exactly Chorlton, we might come here to vent about things but at least we do so on an expat board and don't unfavourably compare America to the Americans around us every chance we get!
If Gwynnie wanted to have a whinge she could have cried on the shoulder on one of her American friends - I'm sure Madonna would have been more than happy to hear her complaints instead of having her comments published in a popular magazine where they could be read by numerous Brits. All she has managed to do is ostracise herself further from the British public.
