google Maps competition
 
rules

winner to be judged by Paul / Sue (providing they don't mind!!)
winner to receive a 6 month subscription to the site.

1) no multiple posts. first person to post a picture of a location is deemed to have entered it.
2) each must have a caption of what it is and location
3) only one entry per person.
4) Must be in the USA
5) Competition will last 1 week

Here is my entry as an example

There used to be a lot more B-52s here than there are now.

Davis-Montham AFB, Tucson, Arizona.

And the commercial version a few miles up the road

I drove past there last weekend. The Childrens museum and Parraot Trail are just round that corner on the main road. Heres a rather shakey drive by pic of Tonys house from the bend in the main road as we went passed:

Isnt it nice of Google to provide all these detailed and expensive satellite maps of the USA for people to use for what ever neferous purpose they should desire.

I thought that too, but I don't know that names or locations of any military bases to check whether or not they've been "blanked out".

EDIT: Although someone did post the view of the aircraft carriers earlier.
