Default Goddam termites

Last year we found a little mud tube coming up into the house so got the whole house treated with Termidor. Job done.

A few days ago I booked in the annual treatment warranty inspection for next week.

Today I spot a huge drop tube in the pantry, cannot find an entry point.

Either this is a good coincidence or just more bloody agro.

There are two types of houses in Arizona. Houses with termites and houses that are going to get termites.

Good luck with dealing with them, personally the crickets are driving me nuts at the moment.

I've heard that saying before, little comfort. I put a pencil mark on the wall to mark the end of the tube, yup it's active. It's going to be a long wait until Wednesday.

Crickets? I can barely hear them over the sound of the cicadas.

Termites are the management's worry here not mine, but I was working my little garden plot a couple of days ago when a cicada landed quietly on the top of a tomato plant and let rip, about six inches from my ear!!!

Same here in NC, and I suspect most states in between. I found some tubes in the garage last spring. I destroyed them and called our pest service, a week later when they came to drill holes in the garage floor to pump in 90 gallons of chemicals, about half of the tubes had been reconstructed.

so the best bet is to move your valuables out, burn your house down with an accidental fire and claim a brand new one on insurance. Seeing as they don't cover termites damage?

I've not heard of mud tubes before.

It's the most likely way you'd find out yourself that your house has termites.
