getin my car to GER from US
 
Pples Im in the US and im moving to germany I would like to know how i can bring my car with me. if youve done this before. cheers for any info. :beer:

Oops I must've had a long day! :o My mistake, sorry. In that case I will try to make a constructive comment.

If I was in that situation I would try to get in touch will a dealer or mover who has a lot to do with the US military in Germany. They ship cars back and forth all the time, and could probably give some decent advice on type approval requirements and that kind of stuff that will need to be changed on the car to make it legal over there. I still don't think I'd bother, as if its an American market car only, parts availability might be a problem and it might need a bit doing to pass the TuV test. I still reckon I'd sell it and pick up a nice beemer when I got to Germany :)

A freight forwarder will probably do it for you including customs and an insurance bond etc.

I have the contacts for 2 or 3 east coast shippers.

Im in NY will be leavin bout a month but move all over the place so can travel anywhere up the east coast for a drop off.
