Default Flexible Income options

I have a small pension with Standard Life and was looking to start withdrawing the money on a Flexible Income plan where I could have control over the amount paid monthly and my wife would continue to draw the amount should something happen to me.

As I live in the USA it seems that Standard Life cannot offer me this option, only an annuity and that would not offer me the flexibility I was hoping for.

Standard Life however did say that I could do this through a 3rd party and was wondering if any members on here had gone down this route and could offer any advice or suggestions.

TIA

Mick
