Finally!!! An interview. Wahoo!!!
150 + job applications and I finally have an interview.
Tomorrow is suit and tie day for a trip to Smyrna, Georgia for a Web Designer position. After trying Dice.com, ComputerJobs.com, CareerBuilder.com and the ever crap Monster.com, I found one on Craiglist.org. No agency. Applied last night after having a look through and I got a call first thing this morning. So, I'll be nervous on my three hour drive in the morning :D |

Most Web jobs though look for exoerience years over qualifications. I've been in this business coming on seven years with a nice portfolio (well, in my eyes anyway, lol) so that counts. The more you can prove that you can do what you say, the qualification confussion doesn't seem to matter.

Add to that the annoying AIU Online pages that I keep getting redirected to and it drives me insane. CareerBuilder.com is way better than Monster and Dice isn't too bad either. I guess it depends on your field. Monster may be good in certain areas but weaker in others. |
