But it worked out and it will work out for everyone.

It can get real dark at times and feel like you won't pull through, but believe me, when it does come together it makes everything worthwhile.

Remember your wives and husbands that stand by you while you search for employment. If they stick with you through the rough, show them how much you appreciate it. When you both make it through to the other side, there is nothing than can separate you.

So go give 'em a hug. Yes, now!!!

:D

Well done, as one IT job hunter (of sorts - in my case i am planning for the inevitable) to another - congrats.

I did wonder how you were doing.

Cheers

Well done mate! Congratulations and welcome back to the forum, thought you were gone for good....

Hope all goes well for the move to Augusta. I'm just packing myself for a move from WA back to North Carolina, so we're both in the same boat!

Keep in touch, and let us know how it all goes...

It's weird. Moving is a kind of exciting sort of stress, lol.

We're looking forward to it. A new life in a new city. We can't wait to start looking at houses. We have an appointment to view about 7 on Wednesday hopefull we'll have something to sorted by the end of the day.

And then to packing :scared:

We can't wait to get relocated.

Tell me about it, I'm up to my elbows in bubble wrap...every other time I've moved recently I've got someone else to do the packing, and this time I've decided to do it myself instead...I never knew I had so much crap!!

At least I don't have to pack my books up, I havent got round to unpacking them from the last move...a year ago!!!

This time I've got two weeks to do it. Mrs Vern and the mini-Verns have gone back to the UK while I get organized, after the last couple of years I thought I'd save them the trauma of moving.. once the container/van/horse and cart has gone with our stuff in it, I'm going to fulfill another of my great ambitions and drive across the US fromWA to NC...I must be mad, what the hell was I thinking!! :scared:

Had an e-mail from the company today to say that my background check and drug screening all came back good so I'm ready to start :D

Schedule at the moment is:

1) Wednesday: Looking at houses

2) Monday: AOS interview to get the GC sorted.

3) Tuesday/Wednesday: Moving

4) Monday 1st: Start work.

I think I need some caffeine tablets to get me through, lol.

I'm trying my best to return everyone's Karma. Let me know if any hits are blanks and I'll get you on the next list.

What a bizarre day, lol.

AOS went great and then I just got a call from the company I very first interviewed with which was why I started this thread (er......back in June).

They wanted to know if I was still available and offered me the job, LOL!!!!

Well, sorry, waiting a month doesn't cut it and the job I have is for a lot more so.....I am unavailable.

2 out of 2!!! The old interview charm still works :D

I've been reading this thread and it's heartening to know that your perseverance has paid off.

So, have you washed that lucky underwear yet? :)

I think what I would really like to achieve with this thread is for someone else to read it and realise that things do finally come together. Sometimes it can be quick, and sometimes it can take time.

But, it will come and when it does you'll be glad that you rode the waves.

Good for you, lets hope some of this good luck spreads to Sarah who could need some right about now. Maybe you can translate your experience into some more new music, I will buy an album soon as I think it's great.
