I can't believe we're giving this guy the time of day... but anyway....

Its clear most Americans don't think the same way as Fig, that's why we have to refer to America the "salad" rather than America the "melting-pot"; because its non-pc to assume that everyone should be assimilated.

Precisely! Put him on ignore and forget him! With no oxygen to vent, he can go find a more suitable forum closer to his own bigoted views. This place is for Brit bigots and their sympathizers.

I don't know if there is any such thing as an "average" American anymore. I do know that there are a lot of Americans that are like minded to me though. Americans are all over the place with their views and/or beliefs. I don't think any one "type" can truly represent Americans. I do know this Fig person doesn't represent me.

Quite right. A little under 130 mph and only a few mph more than top thrill dragster at Cedar Point which it is a carbon copy of. My guess is next summer or the one after, Cedar Point will open one that is bigger and faster.

I agree-is there an average anything? We all want the basics-3 squares a day and a roof over our heads. Beyond that, it is more down to the individual, their economic capability and what's available to them. Some of their choices hinge upon their maturity level. Culture plays a part, but that doesn't allow for idiosyncratic desires.

My pal Eddy dropped in as well as lots do every day ...he made comments as well but unfortunately in the 7 years I have know Eddy.. I have never unsderstood a word he says.. he's from Tennessee ..he may well be on the Figs side .. we will never know ....
