fiance's part of the K1
New to this forum...
Hi,
I am an American girl planning on getting married next year to my Swedish boyfriend. I do not know much about K1 visas (he does most of the research and planning on that), but I would like to learn more about what I would need to do during his visa process. I do not know where to begin. Do I fill out paperwork? Do I talk to the embassies? I am brand new to this, and I have over a year to research and get ready for him to move here (to the US)...but I would like to get started so I do not stress him out by not knowing what "my part" of the process consists of.

Your main part will be filing the affidavit of support for him along with filing the petition that starts it all off. Pop over to the nice people in the Marriage Based Visa section here and have a look at some of the threads there.
