A favourite Christmas memory
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory, either in the UK or US, recent or past?
Between the ages of about 6 and 14 Christmas seemed to last for ages, loads of good movies on telly, loads of choccy and sweeties and those new toys to play with!

Christmas ... or more to the point Boxing Day used to mean Wigan versus St.Helens (its a rugby league fixture for those who don't know) .....nothing better than hitting the pubs at opening time ...a quick few scoops ...the game ... back to the pub to watch the end of Grandstand .... then more beer ...and an expensive taxi ride home

Re: A favourite Christmas memory
Christmas Eve always brings back memories for me. I remember as a young child Christmas Eve being a very busy day. My mum spent all day in the kitchen making sausage rolls and mince pies and we would have a steady stream of visitors all day and of course with each visitor she would have a glass of Sherry or a snowball. By tea time she was as pissed as a newt. We had enough mince pies and sausage rolls to feed a third world country.
On Christmas Day I also remember listening to Two Way Family Favorites on the radio while opening presents and also to watching Jimmy Saville on TV when he would visit the kids in hospital.
I guess I am showing my age lololol
