And the most dramatic plunge today, 3 cents in under an hour, began when Darling announced the date of the pre-budget report. Honestly, it seems like every time he or Trousers Brown open their fat, stupid mouths, the pound (and the rest of the UK economy) takes a kicking.

Why don't they just shut up?

A cheaper pound may actually benefit the UK economy, certainly in comparison to its overvalued $2 exchange rate.

I still get paid a small salary from England, and the exchange rate is awful, $1.51, I got a few days ago, and to add insult to injury they charged me 1.50 just for getting money out, and Bank of America charged me 3 dollars just for using their machines. Outrageous. I hope all the banks go bust.

Then we can keep our money in our socks, the way God intended!

That will solve all the problems no more money just barter for everything.

If you want to have your UK salary paid in McVities Chocolate digestives we might be able to work out a trade. ;)

I was 'lucky'.....I got a rate of $1.57 from UKForex on Monday and sent over $12k....it arrived today in the US bank account.

Won't be doing that again in a hurry if we are now below $1.50!:unsure:

Cause you will, the way things are going dollar fifty will buy a gallon of gas next month. You just have to think of getting a gallon of gas for a pound and its a bargain.

Re: Exchange Rate Today

No I won't.....I'll be using up that cash first unless the rate goes back up a bit.

I accept it might not go back up for quite some time, but I have to try and maximise what I have.
