I was talking to my old dear last week and she said a new series of 'Auf weidersen pet' has started, its all of the old crew again (minus wayne, but with his son instead) .
Anyone know if BBCA are planning to show it over in the states?
I never thought in a million years they would team up again, its great news

Yeah, we got the last series (the Transporter Bridge from Middlesbrough!) on video - cracking. Have already asked Santa for the current series which hopefully will be on video before next Xmas, cos I can't see BBCA showing it...

I would like to see shows like Only Fools & Horses, Dad's Army, Porridge and Born & Bred shown over here. And with a baby on the way, I would love to be able to get hold of some of the childrens shows I grew up with, like Rainbow, Grange Hill, Bagpuss, Fingermouse, and many more shows that seem to awaken the child in me.

Rising Damp - "Ooooh Miss Jones"
Do you know only 27 episodes were ever made of this classic comedy?

Bad Girls, Silent Witness (dribble ), Prisoner Cell Block H, Prime Suspect and anything by Lynda La Plante (can anyone see a theme here?)
Am I the only one who is grateful for wall to wall Charlie Dimmock? *shrug* Obviously!

I'm very grateful to my father-in-law, who sends over shows like Bob and Rose, Linda Green and Fat Friends on tape!
But it's amazing what you find when you delve deeply enough into cable and PBS. I've landed up watching Rumpole, Yes Minister and Dr Who -- all on PBS. And of course Spooks on A&E.
I've come to the conclusion that regular network TV is dumbed down so far that an intelligent show (like Keen Eddie, for instance) just doesn't work. If you want regular time-filling dreck or reality shows, watch network TV. If you want something intelligent, search it out: it's probably out there somewhere on PBS, Bravo, A&E or BBC America.
Oh, and of course, having TiVo makes a BIG difference...

Agree with all the comments here.
Would like to add Blackadder, but then I have them all on DVD so it's a non starter. Also have most of the Only Fools on DVD. I bought a multi-region player so I can watch all my region 2 DVD's.
Like others, I grow tired of the constant dross of Changing Rooms and Ground Force on BBCAmerica. I know the main aim is to attract ex-pats, but any American tuning in would watch for ten minutes, "love the accents", then get bored as shit and turn it off.
There was a new Only Fools on at Xmas. A friend in the UK who has both a PAL and an NTSC player is going to 'jump' it for me and send it over.
I saw the new Auf Weidersen Pet series shortly before I left the UK - it was on in the summer of 2002, I moved over here in Sept of the same year. To be honest I didn't think it was that great. The first 2 series were far superior, the building site and Thornley Manor days. Some of the characters (such as Barry) were so far removed from their originals that were almost like new characters. I couldn't get use to a non-bumbling, confident, sharply dressed Bazza, no matter how hard I tried. And the series seemed to end abruptly. Seasons 1 & 2 were 12-15 episodes long, season 3 was only 6 episodes. Haven't seen any of season 4.
Used to enjoy watching Jonathan Creek when I was in the UK. BBCAmerica have been showing some of them, but alas the best ones still haven't been shown here (although they did show 'Black Canary' a couple of weeks back).
Best
