Energy Corridor - Apartment Community

Re: Energy Corridor - Apartment Community
That is probably true. Often a finished apartment includes everything including utilities, are hassle free, and often are month to month but an unfurnished apartment requires you to rent furniture, acquire utilities, and often has longer term contracts.

We live on Eldridge, been at San Paloma/Montego/Brisas. All OK but you do suffer from neighbour noise! Now at VoM and love it, they are the only townhouses around here but it looks like some new ones are going up on Memorial, next to Terry Hershey Park, so not sure what your timeline is but I would think they well be ready in 2-3 months.
Corporate Lodging is a lot more expensive that renting yourself; you need to work out how long you are going to be here and then work out whether the extra grand per month (or whereabouts) is worth it. If you're going to be here more than a couple of years you are better off buying your furniture and selling it on at the end. There are always people selling household stuff as they move on. most of it in excellent condition.
If Elan are the new ones up on H6, I would give them a miss, awful road!
I can give you loads of info, so either ask on here or PM if you want.

Apartment Amenities | Elan Briar Forest | Houston TX this is the one? I don't understand why living on the road that you are mentioning is bad? Is it hard to get on to in the morning or is it because it is noisy? X

Highway 6 will be busy with commuting, from about 6:30-7:00 AM, I'm guessing.

Sorry guys, VoM = Villages on Memorial. I often use the acronym and forgot others wouldn't realise what I was on about!
Highway 6 is a busy road which is a nightmare to cross unless you are coming on at a traffic light section. If you come out onto Briarforest it might not be too bad. I can hardly comment about noise actually as our complex fronts onto the I10!! You can hear it but it's not an issue really, we are a few rows back so the sound gets deadened by the other houses.
There are 4 or 5 new apartment complexes being built currently around here so plenty of availability and hopefully they may soon be fighting for business and therefore costs may stay the same or come down even!!
I hadn't read your first post properly so hadn't picked up on your budget but I know that you could get a place in San Paloma for less or around what you want to pay, they do take pets and it's a nice complex. One drawback though of Eldridge is that the traffic these days is really bad and it can take 30 mins to drive a couple of miles to reach home from I10 on an evening I've been told.
