ABK - Blues, Jazz, Rock and Roll all derived from African roots

Whilst it may be true to a certain extent there is a Gaelic influence, unfortunately derived from slavery. http://heritage.scotsman.com/traditi...m?id=609532005

Although Black American music has been the dominant form for a while.

Similar to Guinness having it origins in England, without the slavery, alcohol vs singing etc.

Now the rest ... hmmm ... though I'm sure there are British foods which if eaten in excess would make you plump too! Brits must exercise more restraint ... or ?

Like many other things at that time, although penecillin was discovered in the UK, it was developed in the US.

I'm sure I can think of a few more, but something that strikes me as uniquely American is college (and even school) sports being played in huge stadiums in front of thousands of people and on TV. Add to that cheerleaders and pep rallies.

When I played football for my school team we generally had a "crowd" of two: my dad used to show up and yell himself hoarse, and there was one other kid in my team whose dad was the carrot king of north west Suffolk and always used to turn up and video his son's games using a video camera the size of a vacuum cleaner on a tripod.
