Decent-priced vitamins/supplements?

We buy vitamins etc at Costco and they seem like good value.
However I was told last week by someone who apparently knows about such things that not all vitamins are created equal and that the ones at Costco are not as beneficial as other more expensive brands. In particular Omega 3.
Anyone else heard this??

I agree with Costco. I do practically all my grocery and pharmacy shopping there. I am a HUGE fan!!!

1.) We're trying to down-size in terms of owned items. We're empty-nesters who tried to pare down our furniture & other stuff to make the move over the Pond, but we still have waay too much. We have most appliances we need, too, which though old & outdated, work fine. We don't need a car, washing machine, coffee-maker, etc.
2.) As for reduced price petrol, which would be nice--none of the buyers' clubs I've seen in our househunt have petrol pumps, whereas several Stop&Shops around here do have reduced gas stations for card-holders with aquired points.
3.) We're househunting, so not sure exactly where we'll live, & at least some of the shopping has to be convenient to public transport--which is so spotty in this part of the world. (We'll be sharing a car--haha, what fun in America, hey?!) These members' clubs I've seen aren't usually accessible (both to get to & to carry stuff from) on foot. That's kinda the whole point, isn't it? You load up & drive off . . . .
4.) The husband just hates the big box stores. He'll gladly pay more just to avoid the hell therein, so I don't know if he would *ever* agree to paying any membership fee . . . .
But thanks for the info, everyone! At least I know now what all the hoopla is about, & if things were different I'd probably rush to join up . . . .

They are great if you've got a business or young school aged kids or if they have petrol pumps....but as you say, there's only so much room to store all that bog roll
