Did you put your vest on? Go back up and put it on now. Do you want a chill on your kidneys?

Ok... So how many User Accounts does my mother have here anyway? :p

I always thought there must be some sort of secret mothers club... They all know the same things to say and they all seem to know when their kid has done something wrong... almost before the kid does it.

My mother STILL seems able to do that from 5000 miles away.

Nothing, except it's spelt 'Celsius'. I just said the gas mark because it is a uniquely British thing.

Rice pudding.

I CANNOT get the proportions right. I have my mother's recipe but the rice seems to behave differently?

You're right, thanks for correcting me.
Celsius is uniquely un-american... I prefer it because I used it at home when I cooked. Unlike you, I actually learned how to actually use the oven.

Now that's annoying. :frown: Do you think it's because the rice itself is different?

I have no idea. In England we used to get something called "Carolina rice", so you would think it was American. But it isn't called that here and the only short grain rice seems to be either Arborio or Sushi (which is too sticky). Then there is medium grain rice, which doesn't seem right either.
