They've been converting them into conference halls and flats for years though, so when it's finished, I'll believe it.

Security is pretty slack, friends when bunny hoping a while back and only saw one chap.

Shame it never got sold to Royal Holloway. Don't know how they got around the need to keep it in educational uses charter jobby though.

He flew on it once. He is 6'3". It was fast but small. However he sat next to Kate Moss so he was delighted by the experience. He kept the branded pen and writing paper they gave him!

That's funny

I once landed at Heathrow (before the days of the air bridge!) and had to wait to cross the tarmac once disembarked, because Concorde was taking off. I fair felt the ground tremble beneath my feet! Loved that aircraft - would have loved a trip on it, I'm only 5ft 5ins JerseyGirl, I think it would have been more comfortable for me. My husband is 6ft 5ins... he struggles with regular commercial craft!

Ha ha. I'm not an aviation nut, but it's a momento of my 16 years at the airport. So not for sale I'm afraid. Make an offer to NewJerseyGirl's husband

My husband won't let his Concorde memorabilia go either...he keeps them with the signed, personalized doodles Paul McCartney gave to him. He thinks they will be valuable some day.
