Concerned about return of British passport documents
I sent in my British passport renewal about 3 weeks ago. I know it was received as the fee was charged to my credit card. I will be going on vacation soon and away from home for a month.
I suspect that my passport and documents will arrive during that time and no one will be at home during daytime delivery hours.
How are the documents and passport returned to me? Will the courier require a signature? If the documents need to be picked up from the courier, can I authorize another family member to pick them up?
I am concerned about the procedure and what will happen if I am not personally here to receive the passport and documents.
How does this work and what is the procedure?

Sorry, can't help much but just wanted to warn you that the supporting documents are usually returned separately to the new passport, often a week afterwards.
