Hello,

Following an absolutely brilliant weekend in NYC, we are planning to visit again. Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Inn at 279 Butler St. Brooklyn, NY? We have found a ridiculously cheap deal and am wondering if it is a good deal or it there is a reason it is such a good deal.

This is a must site for anyone who ever has to stay in a hotel. Do a quick search of nearly any hotel in any major city (i.e. Comfort Inn Brooklyn) and you'll find great 'real' reviews from customers. I use it everytime I travel and have found the reviews to be very helpful.

If you want to be afraid, look at some of the 'real life' photos from some of the lower priced hotels. Has saved me several times in London from ending up in a cesspool.

The neighborhood is a bit industrial and grimy (not so much dangerous as tired and trucks), and about $15-20 cab from downtown Manhattan (but close to the desireable Park Slope neighborhood and increasingly visitable Red Hook).

OTOH, it's just a place to sleep (IMO). If I were in your place, I would stay there if it were close enough to wherever I thought I was going to be most of the time, or if the price difference was cheap enough to pay for cabs.
