Can my mother apply for a B2 visa while she is here visiting the US? Thanks...Mark.

She is here on a 3 month stay on visa waiver.

Then no she cannot adjust status while on a visa waiver. She will have to leave the
country to apply for it.

I think you mean change or extend status ... not adjust. Adjust is reserved for a
change from a non-immigrant to immigrant status.

You aren't alone (meaning I do it too!) ...it's when imm. atty's do it in their paid
for advice to clients that I really get worried!
