Calling all boxing fans

Re: Calling all boxing fans
I can't see Hatton beating Mayweather.
American trained boxers are so unorthodox and better trained. Hatton is strong but walks in, straight on, head first. I think Mayweather is too fast for him and will pick him apart. Hopefully Hatton will be smart enough to go to Mayweather's body, if he can catch him.
As an Englishman I hope I'm wrong and Hatton knocks his ass out..........

Hattons the man to beat PBF and I'll be sitting in my $1000 nose bleed seat to watch him do it.

Some pre-fight commentary is favouring Hatton: http://www.secondsout.com/news/index...s=534&cs=23403

Re: Calling all boxing fans
comcast had it for $40 on a deal if you paid before the weekend....neighbour works for them and gets 50% discount...so far there'll be three of us watching it, probably more people so it'll work out pretty cheap, quite pleased with that

$65!!!!
I'm sharing the costs; there's no way I'd pay that if it were only me.
ETA: Speaking of PPVs, Hatton must be making a mint out of this fight...

Re: Calling all boxing fans
Is that standard rate of a fight ??
The 24/7 thing on HBO was really well done - really looking forward to it now.
Going to a boozer to watch it with a few brits - should be a good night, though the fight itself may be a bit pish based on hatton's last few encounters which have been pretty scrappy affairs.

It's been going up and up since they introduced PPV about 10 years ago when it was $19.95 or so.
Rip off and I usually don't get them, but I might stump up for this one

Can't you go to a boozer - I reckon the atmosphere there will compensate for what might be a poor fight (from an aesthetic perspective at least).

Re: Calling all boxing fans
Works out more if you factor in drinks at $5 - $6 each. Then if it's PPV the pubs charge $20 or $25 to get in, is it free to get in there?

Re: Calling all boxing fans
I actually have no idea, but to be honest I always prefer watching fights in the company of a few others anyway so worth it and I shouldn't spend much more than $60 if I go to a bar anyway as I have to drive.

There's a few build ups that make ppv worth it, Lacey is fighting, can't remember the other fights...plus with a bunch of mates and a crate of beer, it'll be cheaper and don't need to worry about driving afterwards...though I know what you mean about a pub atmosphere, but they are a bit pish around here.

Is he continuing his boxing lessons on TV?
