Women's football is one of the biggest growth sports in the US. The girls are every bit as good as the boys & seem to want to learn more too.

Oh yes. Aren't you coaching a girls' team? What ages are they? Do they represent a school or is it some kind of soccer/football club?

the u.s. has no interest in things that arent american, ie soccer, rugby, cricket. if you notice their major tele networks (abc/fox/nbc/wb), they dont include uk shows like "mile high", or "the bill" while australia, and new zealand do. while australia and new zealand feature, chinese, hindu, french, and italian shows, the u.s. doesnt. if you look even further, youll notice that uk pop stars dont make it big in the u.s. either. people like sophie ellils bextor, and nastasha beddingfield are virtually unknown in the u.s. as popular as david beckham is in the uk, he is really nobody in the u.s... oh and try asking a yank what manchester united is.

There are rugby teams in Columbia and Charleston. I think 2 or 3 teams.

You'd be surprised - you do actually see people (and not just visiting Brits) in Man Utd shirts here. In both of the last two summers Man Utd have played freindlies at Giants Stadium near New York (against Juventus and AC Milan) and pulled in 80,000 both times.

mmmmmm, I wonder why.......................... and as for Manchester United, when I tell people I'm from near Manchester the first thing they say is "oh my god, Manchester United, didn't David Beckham play for them"
